British Isles Itinerary to Great Shows' Filming Locations

In addition to the classic tourist destinations in the UK and Ireland, the itinerary is about chasing the steps of some great TV/movie productions. I walked into the filming locations of Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Titanic, Paddington and Shakespeare(??). May the characters and the story be immortal XD

D1: Hong Kong > Heathrow Airport, London > King’s Cross Platform 9¾ > Warner Bros. Studio London > Museum of London
A must-go spot for Harry Potter fans! All sets and props are authentic, just can’t imagine how much time they spent only on the Potions Classroom!
D2: Tower of London > Tower Bridge > HMS Belfast > City Cruise > Royal Observatory Greenwich > Greenwich Market > City Cruise > The Shard
Watching the London Bridge from the Tower of London. Great for history lovers
Walked into the HMS Belfast to examine every detail of the battleship, a surprisingly interesting attraction
D3: Big Ben > St. James’s Park > Churchill War Rooms > Downing St. > Trafalgar Square > Westminster Abbey > The British Museum
Ahh just wondering how the wartime leaders managed to win the battles using telephones as communication means back then…
D4: St. Paul’s Cathedral > Millennium Bridge > Shakespeare’s Globe > Borough Market (Fish! Kitchen Fish and Chips) > The London Bridge Experience > Leadenhall Market
I'd had enough of cathedrals but great views were offered by the St Paul’s. Need to climb to the top
Leadenhall Market is the Diagon Alley in Harry Potter
D5: Big Bus Tour > Kensington Palace > Hyde Park > Windsor Castle > Eton College > London Paddington Station > Edinburgh
Windsor was indeed the most romantic castle I’ve encountered
No…noway this creature can’t be the Paddington Bear I wanna cry
D6: Edinburgh Bus Station > The Elephant House > Royal Mile > Edinburgh City Chambers > Edinburgh Castle > Victoria Street > Glenfinnan
The 'birthplace' of Harry Potter, no, not born but written
It says the handprints are J.K. Rowling’s in case you find the words difficult to read XD
D7: Glenfinnan Station Museum > Glenfinnan Trail View Point > The Jacobite Steam Train (Hogwarts Express) > Glasgow
The most troublesome and expensive transportation, for I am a muggle
D8: University of Glasgow > Stirling Castle
Mmm, someone told me it’s better in Stirling than Edinburgh to learn about the love and hate between England and Scotland
D9: Glasgow > Belfast > Titanic Belfast > SS Nomadic > Titanic Exhibition Centre
The place where Titanic was built, the real one! It’s outside the window glass and could be walked on!
Again, the authentic sets and props. Belfast afterall is the filming base of GoT
D10: Game of Thrones Day Tour: Cushendun Caves > Dark Hedges > Ballintoy (Pyke) Harbour > Larrybane > Giant’s Causeway > Carrick-a-Rede Ropebridge
Information boards available at the GoT attractions here
D11: Cliffs of Moher Day Tour: Kinvara > The Wild Atlantic Coast > The Burren > Doolin > The Cliffs of Moher > Dublin
I think this is really similar to the rocks in Northern Ireland but of course here’s of much larger scale, and this is where Voldemort hides the Slytherin’s Locket XD
D12: Book of Kells > Dublin Castle > The Temple Bar > Ha’Penny Bridge > Dublin Airport > London > Hong Kong
Even Socrates won’t finish the books in the Long Room I guess…
D13: London > Hong Kong
